Draw a trumpet in Aquarell: connect bell, curved tubing and valve block

Study a simplified trumpet through bell rims, turning tube width, three buttons and overlaps without treating the exterior as a service diagram.

Gold tangled lines do not become a readable trumpet through extra highlights. Draw a simplified oblique side view, separating bell, main return bend and the three-button region, then tracing visible tube sections. This studies exterior appearance, not fingering, disassembly or a complete airflow circuit. Layers separate tube sections and shading, but each overlap is decided manually rather than concealed with metallic reflections.

Establish length with three large masses

Use an approximately 1900×1200 px landscape canvas with a deep grey-blue background. Set a long axis rising slightly left to right, placing an opening bell at the right, short valve region centrally and fine leadpipe/mouthpiece space at the left. Separate three masses in grey without disconnecting them into unrelated parts. Layer sketch, far tubes, near tubes, bell and buttons. Check the silhouette for a broad opening and narrow end. If both ends are equally thick, correct taper rather than identifying it through lettering. Fine braces may simplify, but retain connections between large regions instead of cutting tubing merely for empty space.

Build the bell rim and interior

Draw an oblique outer ellipse at the right, leaving a narrow rim around the darker interior and aligning its depth with the bell tube. A thin gold highlight need not encircle it at equal brightness and width. Narrow the cavity inward rather than attaching a black circle at the end. If it resembles a metal disc, expose the flaring side that returns toward the tube. If a thick bowl, narrow the rim and lighten its construction. Check readability with reflections hidden, then restore them. Do not force a frontal circle to expose the entire cavity at odds with its axis. Establish orientation first, then edge values.

Keep both boundaries of the return bend traceable

Sketch one main return bend extending left from the centre, establishing its centre route and then tube width on both sides. Join inner and outer bend edges smoothly without turning it abruptly into a flat strip or thick ball. A far segment may hide behind the valve area; reason through its connection with a faint dashed sketch guide and omit hidden lines in the finish. Reconnect endpoints that look like separate gold brackets. If diameter jumps, adjust both boundaries rather than trimming one alone. This continuity explains exterior appearance, not a complete real airflow circuit. Leave internal structures omitted instead of inventing a technical drawing.

Align three buttons with their valve cylinders

Place three similarly sized buttons centrally, each above its own short stem and valve cylinder, following one row direction. Make tops slightly elliptical in view rather than three viewer-facing candies. Count three and attach each to its own stem instead of an unexplained fork holding two. Simplify cylinders while connecting them with the tubing rather than suspending them above it. Hide highlights to inspect counts and junctions; weaken a meaningless gap if it suggests a fourth cylinder. These are static shapes, not a selected pressed-valve state or fingering lesson.

Choose near and far tubing at crossings

Identify which near tube covers each far segment, keeping the front boundaries intact and interrupting the hidden tube instead of making transparent wirework. Retain a small negative space between nearby bell tube and return bend so they do not become one gold mass. Show tubes individually and combine them to decide where a line disappears. Do not cover an uncertain crossing with a white glint; move endpoints in the sketch if the route is wrong. A few braces may connect neighbours, but every gap need not receive a crossbar. Visible connections should explain something, and omissions must not sever the main form.

Describe metal with long reflected bands

Begin with muted yellow-brown, adding longer pale-gold reflection bands on lit sides and grey-brown in shade. Turn bell reflections with its flaring surface. Avoid a central white dot on every circular face or pure-white outlines on all narrow tubing. Inspect diameter and curvature in three value groups, then select one or two brightest accents. If plastic-like, refine band widths and dark layers rather than adding random stars. If mirror-like noise, reduce fragments so bell, valves and bend dominate. Shared colour does not mean equal brightness; reflections follow orientation without destroying checked overlaps.

Inspect exterior routes without reflections

Hide reflections and small braces in a copy, retaining large masses, three buttons and main tubing. Trace from narrow end through centre to bell, requiring plausible visible junctions rather than imaginary jumps across empty gaps. Compare a rear tube deliberately drawn through a front one to see the unwanted transparency, then restore correct line interruption. Change only that overlap while keeping colour fixed. If the simplified drawing reads better than the finish, inspect crowded detail or misdirected reflection bands rather than rebuilding every shape. This is manual reading, not service acceptance or real pipe testing.

Inspect the inner rim and three buttons in output

Save the layered original and count three buttons in the PNG, checking separate inner/outer bell edges and continuous main bend. If gold merges with the background into a broken tube, adjust value locally rather than doubling tube thickness. Remove or fade braces that shrink into a black mesh instead of overpowering them with white dots. Keep a reflection-free structural preview. A new viewpoint requires fresh bell and cylinder orientation checks, not an unchecked mirror. Record a precise line error, such as the inner left bend passing through the central valve region, rather than vaguely asking for more metallic appearance.

The drawing uses the publicly described brush, colour, layer and saving capabilities manually. Sizes, shapes and colours are practice suggestions; confirm controls against the installed version. Keep the native artwork for further editing and use PNG for previews. This batch does not claim step-by-step device testing.
