ABOUT

Hi, I’m Bison.

I’m an iOS developer, and I also enjoy sketching and interior design.

This blog used to focus mainly on iOS technical articles. Alongside development notes, I now write about the apps I make: how to use them, what you can do with them and how to work through problems.

The apps I’m making

Aquarell icon

Aquarell

A drawing app with brushes, layers and palettes. Make a watercolour-style illustration or begin with a leaf or a cup. Here I explain the canvas setup, colouring and export steps.

ManYue icon

ManYue

A comic reader for your own files on a phone or tablet, with connections to a NAS or comic server. The tutorials begin with local import, then cover shelves, offline reading and server connections.

VectorPaint icon

VectorPaint

For vector drawing, icons and SVG edits. It works mainly with shapes, paths and nodes. If you want a simple logo or a graphic that can scale, start with a geometric icon.

Book Isle icon

Book Isle

For organising personal ebooks and connecting NAS or Calibre libraries. I begin with importing one book and adjusting its reading layout, then cover tags, notes and reading-data sync. The tutorials distinguish readable formats from manageable files, and remote entries from real downloads.

iCouldPlay icon

iCouldPlay

One place to play local videos, NAS files and content from your personal media servers. Tutorials begin with a single video, then cover the library, subtitles, audio tracks and playback issues, with a clear result to compare after each change.

Yearn icon

Yearn

A retro game emulator for a collection of game files you provide. I cover importing, controllers, display settings and save checks. Begin by successfully saving and loading one game, then organise the rest of your collection.
