ManYue continuous chapter transitions: verify endings, next chapters and stopping

Compare automatic next-chapter entry in supported continuous modes, checking chapter order, loading waits and return anchors separately from automatic reading.

Reaching a chapter ending can either lead into the next chapter or provide a stopping point. Test that boundary separately from automatic-reading speed. Compare two readable chapters with the option on and off, then verify navigation and the saved scene.

Choose two clearly adjacent chapters

Verify titles, order, beginnings and endings of two authorised adjacent chapters. Ensure the next chapter is readable under the current account and network. Record ending and opening scenes, distinguishing ads and recaps. The transition option does not repair a wrongly ordered or incomplete server catalogue.

Use an applicable continuous mode

Inspect the next-chapter-on-scroll control in a supported continuous layout, recording state and scope. Gallery or waterfall arrangements can differ. Keep automatic scrolling off initially. If absent, ordinary chapter navigation remains available. Establish manual movement before evaluating boundary behaviour.

Establish a stopping point with it off

With transition disabled, reach the ending slowly and note the stop or available action. Distinguish loading space from the true end. If the next chapter still opens, inspect mode organisation and edited scope before concluding the setting was ignored. Preserve this baseline for deliberate stopping.

Enable and cross one boundary

Enable the option and cross the same ending once. Verify chapter title, opening scene and any wait, then stop and inspect. Unexpected chapters call for catalogue and identity checks rather than scroll-speed adjustments. Continuous images alone do not establish the correct chapter destination.

Separate loading waits from disabled transitions

Verify the next chapter independently when a remote boundary waits, using a complete local example where useful. Avoid repeated advance actions during a pause. Confirm chapter and images rather than only a scrollbar. Missing offline content is a separate availability condition; transition does not imply whole-book downloading.

Check back navigation and resume

Record an anchor after crossing, verify navigation back, then exit and resume the second chapter. Distinguish selecting a chapter start from opening resume. Keep files and catalogue unchanged while testing. Compare scenes because layouts can represent positions differently.

Choose an intentional stopping strategy

Keep transitions off or return to the shelf for one-chapter sessions; enable them deliberately for continuous reading. Reminders are separate and do not follow from the boundary switch. Use supported book scope and check defaults elsewhere. Know how to stop and identify the current chapter without maintaining elaborate per-boundary logs.

Acceptance and reporting

Finish with understood on/off behaviour, correct adjacent chapters and recoverable navigation. For missing controls, inspect mode and version; for offline stops, inspect next-chapter files. Report chapter names, action, mode, state and result using authorised material, retaining rollback values.
