Export and records

ManYue batch export: keep downloaded comics as manageable files

Export local comics to CBZ or PDF in batches, check the ZIP container, save location and page completeness, and distinguish comic-file archives from reading-data backups.

English translation of the Chinese original, translated on . The article body uses automated translation; app descriptions, historical reading notes and video subtitles receive separate editorial checks. Original publication dates, attribution, code and version notes are retained.

Batch export turns comics already stored locally in ManYue into independent files for your own document directories. It differs from exporting app data: one concerns comic content, the other application records. This exercise exports two short comics you are entitled to save, checking format, quantity, page order, and final file location.

Confirm local content and usage rights first

Choose two completely downloaded or imported comics and open the beginning, middle, and end of each to confirm local readability. A cover in a remote library does not mean complete local pages are available for export. Batch export is listed publicly as a ManYue Ultra capability. Check the current account page for the actual entry point and entitlement.

Give the two works clear, distinct titles so same-name files are easy to distinguish. Retain the originals or source and do not clear downloaded content before the first export finishes. Export only material you are entitled to save and process. An available button does not automatically grant permission to distribute someone else's comics publicly.

Open the local comic export menu

Find the target in local comic management and inspect one book's menu first, confirming formats such as Export as CBZ and Export as PDF. Once familiar with single-book export, enter multiselect, choose the two practice books, and check the selected count. Do not select the entire library while unsure of the active filters.

If the interface also offers EPUB, its exported comic content should not be assumed to be freely reflowable text. Choose the format primarily according to the tools you will use to read and manage it, not because an extension looks more universal. For a first attempt, choose CBZ or PDF that you can already open elsewhere so you can verify the result.

Choose CBZ or PDF according to its purpose

CBZ is suitable for keeping an ordered set of pages for comic readers. PDF suits fixed-page viewing and some document tools. Check the actual page count and order in either format. The extension alone cannot establish that export retained every internal file from the original archive. The app may regenerate output from local pages, so additional material in the original archive may not correspond to the exported content.

For example, export two self-made twelve-page comics as CBZ, then check pages one and twelve in a reader you trust. If you plan to archive in PDF, export one of them as PDF too and compare page proportions and text clarity. A small comparison batch reveals format differences more easily than exporting your entire collection at once.

Wait for generation and finish saving through the system

After starting, watch progress such as Exporting Current/Total and wait for every selected work to finish. Multiple outputs may then be collected into a ZIP, while a single book may save directly in its chosen format. Follow the filename and type shown by the actual save panel. If you cancel, do not treat a partially generated cached file as a proper backup.

Choose a specific destination in the system save or share panel, such as Comics Archive/2026-10, and complete the final confirmation. The device needs enough space for both temporary generation files and the result; the source and output may occupy storage simultaneously. If space runs out, stop expanding the batch, retain the originals, arrange sufficient storage, and retry.

Open and verify each output

Find the output in the system Files app. For a ZIP, confirm that it contains the two expected files, then open each. Check titles, file count, total page count, first and last pages, and one middle image. If the titles are similar, take particular care to confirm that both exist. ZIP size alone cannot prove completeness.

Compare the original chapter organization with the output structure and confirm that it suits your purpose. Navigation in one fixed document may differ from the app's chapter list. If a particular chapter structure is essential, verify the current format's actual result before processing many files. A file opening successfully does not prove every page is correct; checking the last page can reveal some truncation problems.

Save content backups and reading records separately

Exported comic files mainly preserve content. Do not assume they contain every ManYue favorites group, reading history record, page bookmark, or server configuration. Migrating those records requires a separate app-data backup or the corresponding synchronization process. Conversely, an app-data backup should not automatically be treated as a replacement for every original comic file.

Make a short export checklist containing the title, format, page count, save date, and verification result. When freeing storage later, first confirm that these independent files still open before handling the phone copies. Do not delete the original local content as soon as export progress finishes; complete the external-file checks first.

Frequently asked questions

Why does exporting several books produce a ZIP? Batch results may use a ZIP container to hold the individual comic files. Inspect its contents before deciding whether the selected format was used. Do not mistake the outer ZIP for all works merged into one book.

Will text be searchable after PDF export? Comic pages are usually images. Generating a PDF does not automatically guarantee a text-recognition layer. If you need full-text search, inspect the output structure separately. The PDF extension alone does not mean text is selectable or searchable.

Can a successful export restore all reading progress? Comic content files and app reading data are separate categories. CBZ or PDF preserves readable pages, while history, groups, and settings require app-data backup or the appropriate synchronization feature. Save and verify both separately when migrating.
