ManYue reading statistics: total time and records by title
Review total reading time, today, the last seven days and per-title records. Understand what counts as reading, and distinguish statistics from history cleanup and device screen time.
On this page
ManYue reading statistics help review time actually spent reading comics. They describe something different from reading history, completed chapters, and download counts. Complete an identifiable reading session, then examine total time, Today, Last Seven Days, and per-work records without overinterpreting the numbers.
Complete one clearly bounded reading session first
Choose a correctly loaded comic, note an approximate start time, read a chapter continuously, and exit normally. Five to ten minutes is enough for an initial reference. Do not equate open menus, an untouched page, and network waiting with the same reading activity; counting rules affect what is recorded.
A new installation or device may have little data and cannot automatically know time previously spent on paper comics or other apps. Importing a hundred books does not mean statistics should immediately show a hundred read books. Let real use generate a record before judging whether the numbers are meaningful.
Open Reading Statistics and check the time range
Use the statistics icon on the History page or find Reading Statistics in the app-data area of Settings. Review total reading time, Today, and Last Seven Days. The last seven days are not necessarily a segment of a calendar week; follow the page's labels and avoid comparing unequal ranges as measures of efficiency.
Recall whether the session occurred today and whether exiting the reader updated the record. Compare approximate magnitude and the corresponding work rather than demanding stopwatch-level identity each time. Timing and saving moments depend on the version; a small discrepancy in one short session does not prove the whole statistics system failed.
Read the page's explanation of time-counting rules
The statistics page explains the current version's active-reading rules, including foreground reading, loading, and menu time. Read them before designing a comparison. Updates may change timing details, so follow the installed version's explanation instead of applying remembered thresholds to new statistics.
A useful check records two normal sessions: one already-loaded local chapter and one on a slow network. Compare your time and experience to understand that waiting may not all count as active reading. Statistics aim to reflect reading, not encourage constant screen interaction to increase numbers; do not repeatedly tap to inflate time.
Review time by work
With the relevant Ultra entitlement, open Reading Time by Book or the displayed per-work entry. Find the practice work first, then compare two or three recent works. Same-named records from different sources may need extra checking; titles alone do not prove identity.
Vertical strips, ordinary pages, and images worth revisiting produce different rhythms. Slow reading may mean inspecting detail, and faster reading does not necessarily mean better understanding. Add a short personal reflection such as “The spreads in this volume deserve another look.” Let numbers guide future reading instead of turning rankings into a quality chart.
Answer only two concrete questions each week
Return after a week and ask which periods support sustained reading and which works fit those periods. Short stories may suit commuting, while horizontal compositions suit an iPad on weekends. Statistics provide only part of the basis; plans also depend on device, environment, and energy.
Change only one thing next week, such as moving a large-screen comic from commuting to the weekend list. Do not simultaneously raise goals, change reading mode, and replace every work, then attribute the result to one number. Consistent comparison scope makes changes in experience easier to judge.
Distinguish history cleanup from retained statistics
History mainly restores works and positions, while statistics summarize time. The current page may explicitly state that clearing history does not clear statistics. Do not use history deletion as a reset for all reading data. Confirm your goal first rather than deleting useful continuation clues to zero one number.
After changing devices or restoring data, inspect the actual backup and sync scope before comparing statistics. Check date ranges, sync times, and saved results on both devices; similar totals do not prove every record matches. For important reviews, record dates and scope rather than relying solely on a total-time screenshot.
Frequently asked questions
Why is reading time lower than app-usage time? System app-usage time may include browsing, settings, and waiting, while reading statistics use their own active-reading definition. They measure different things. Read the rules before comparing and do not expect identical numbers.
Why do statistics remain after clearing history? History and statistics are separate data. Follow the current statistics page and deletion confirmation rather than treating one cleanup button as a complete reset. For statistics cleanup, look for explicitly corresponding controls and explanations.
What if there is no per-work list? First check whether that entry exists and the account has the corresponding Ultra capability. Overview and per-work statistics may have different permissions. Reimporting the whole library is unnecessary merely to see rankings.
Use statistics alongside a reading plan
